This master class is made of two parts. The participants are required to attend both workshops, on both days of the festival – in the end they will receive the complete painted Worbla piece made during the master class, and two small brochures with instructions for further use. Given the difficulty level, the participants will be selected on spot by the coordinator, based on their cosplay level.
Part I: How to Construct Armor out of Worbla
In this workshop you will learn how to make an armor base out of Worbla – you are going to construct a piece of armor for the arm – but also how to create details and ornaments on it. At the same time, Livia from Shinju’s Workshop will share some details about how you can repair your mistakes and how to prepare the armor for the paint job.
Part II: How to Paint Your Worbla Armor
In the second part of this master class, Gabi from Shinju’s Workshop will teach you how to paint your cosplay armor that you’ve learn how to make in the first part. Using the armors constructed during the armor-making workshop with Livia, you will learn how you use lights, shadows and various paint job techniques for the most pleasant result.
